Performer artist. She is a tango dance teacher. She is a singer. She mixes dance and music with puppets. She plays music for children.
Born in Argentina, Elena has lived in cities across the globe, and performed with different projects in Europe, Japan, Argentina and Australia.
After more than a decade of an intense career in the tango dance scene, she took up tango singing in 2014, since then she has performed at “Los Laureles”, “El Faro”, some of Argentina’s historical cafes from the Golden Age of Tango. She has also shared the stage with Andreas Tordai (Sweden), composer and guitarist Fabian Nesprías (Argentina), the Berlin Tango Community Orchestra (Germany), pianist Naoko Aoki (Japan), Jessie Lloyd from the “Mission Song Project” (Australia), and the Melbourne Tango Orchestra.
Based in Melbourne since 2016, her main projects are “TangoMood” and “PioPioPio” Traditional South American Music for children with a bilingual approach, with Michel Bestrin.
